Fueled by Blood! Ashcan Updates and What's Next

The ashcan has been up and out for about 2 weeks now, but not everything was in the state that I wanted it to be at launch. As was stated on the ashcan's store page, a handful of usability and quality of life updates were incomplete. Those, alongside the rules changes listed below, have just been rolled out to the rules PDFs.

• Difficulty Modes and Combat/Mission Performance Rating systems have been introduced. These aren't important for one shots, and so aren't really relevant here, but I wanted to show some of what I plan for FbB!'s future.
• What counts as a "choice" for actions has been further clarified. That resulted in wording changes for every attack action (and a handful of other actions). The pre-gens were updated to reflect those changes.
• The Phantom's Jet Heat saw slight nerfs, and the Oracle's MICS's combat effect has been changed.
• Language around spending Focus has been clarified.

It's worth noting here that Fueled by Blood!'s ashcan is not intended to be a living document, so you aren't going to see any updates to it beyond this one. Instead, at some point before the end of October, I will be making a new page for Fueled by Blood! which will contain the living, active document that is slowly being turned into a finished product. 

There will be more details on my plan for that when it launches. The gist is that it will begin as PWYW with rules similar to the ashcan, and will be fleshed out over time as I playtest the game and finish its art, with the price of the game increasing as I do so. There won't suddenly be a new store page when the game is finished, so if you get it early you're getting for cheap in the long run. Until then, I'll be working on an adjacent, lighter system called Hex Infinite, a tabletop beat em up designed for 3-6 sessions of solo or cooperative play.
